20 Things to do in Edmonton this Weekend - October 17-19, 2025

Kick things off Friday night with The Haunted Hike’s terrifying return—three floors of fright that promise to test even the bravest souls. If you’d rather fill your evening with melodies than mayhem, catch Darius Rucker’s soulful country tunes, the haunting harmonies of Sons of Town Hall, or relive rock classics with Dreams: The Ultimate Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Film buffs can also immerse themselves in cinematic creativity at the Edmonton Short Film Festival, celebrating both local and international storytellers.

Saturday brings a rich mix of culture and community. Classical music lovers can celebrate two centuries of waltzes and polkas at the Johann Strauss Quartet’s anniversary concert, while theatre-goers can choose between the touching humour of Big Stuff, the dark wit of The Moors, or the heartfelt energy of GEDFEST, a musical celebration supporting the Ben Stelter Foundation. And for those still chasing chills, The Haunted Hike continues its nightly scares.

Wind down your weekend on Sunday with powerful storytelling and performance. See MorningSide Road or Cycle, two unique shows exploring memory, movement, and meaning. And don’t miss the start of Feed the Soul’s $10 Deals, a ten-day culinary event highlighting Edmonton’s diverse and vibrant dining scene—proof that great food doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.
