See Any Movie for $5 at Cineplex This Weekend - September 5-6
Cineplex is closing out summer the cheap way. $5 Weekend returns Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, with $5 general admission movie tickets and $5 small popcorns at theatres across Edmonton.

Tickets can be bought at the box office or online. Online purchases add a booking fee of up to $1.50 per ticket, so grabbing them in person keeps the total closer to $5 flat. Scene+ members get an extra 10% off and can stack points on top of the deal. Cheap weekend date: two people, two tickets, one popcorn to share, all for around $15 before tax.
Premium formats like UltraAVX or VIP are still available, just with a surcharge on top of the $5 rate.
A portion of proceeds from the weekend goes to the Canadian Picture Pioneers, a charity supporting members of Canada's film industry.
