St. Arnaud LIVE at 9910 | Friday

St.Arnaud is the music of Ian (St.Arnaud), a project that balances buoyant, wry storytelling with roots and early indie influences, all wrapped in lively, danceable arrangements. Often described as “the goofy side of self-serious indie rock.” The collection is to be packaged into three deluxe singles, and then released as a self-titled album on Cordova Bay Records. Each of these deluxe singles is a motley crew of songs, packaged more around a mode of production than a particular genre or feeling. Steeped in the raucous and fun-loving 70s’ folkers and power poppers like Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers, the result is a larger and livelier interpretation that retains Ian’s penchant for pop hooks and sardonic lyrics.

Pay What You Can Cocktail Cabaret | Friday

Unwind in style with an intimate evening of jazz-infused musical theatre and cabaret favourites. The Cocktail Cabaret blends smooth vocals, and a relaxed lounge atmosphere – perfect for easing into your summer night. Featuring Canada’s leading emerging vocal artists from the NUOVA Vocal Arts Festival, this curated program offers a fresh, stylish take on beloved repertoire, from golden age classics to contemporary gems – all with a jazzy twist. Join Nuova at Kaffa Coffee Roasters for an evening of music, connection, and cocktails – where great songs and great company meet.

On Stage: Fully Committed | Friday

This devastatingly funny one-act follows a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan’s number-one restaurant. Coercion, threats, bribes, histrionics – he hears it all! A cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their quest to land a prime reservation or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam also juggles calls about his own life and career.
