Alberta AAD is strengthening its provincial voice for the aviation, aerospace, and defence sectors by delivering the intelligence and connections needed to navigate an increasingly complex global landscape. The Annual Aviation, Aerospace & Defence Summit goes beyond a traditional conference, serving as a strategic forum where industry leaders come together to shape the future of these critical sectors.
The Summit features a dynamic lineup of programming, including an expanded tradeshow, dedicated Aerospace & Defence and Aviation breakout sessions, the Alberta Cybersecurity Forum, a pitch competition highlighting emerging disruptive technologies, and immersive Aerospace & Defence Industry Site Tours. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect during the Summit Networking Night and celebrate at the Evening Gala.
A cornerstone of the event is the AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) Competition, where top teams from airlines, MROs, post-secondary institutions, and non-profits compete in live, real-world maintenance challenges. This unique showcase highlights the essential skills and expertise behind Canada’s aviation safety and reliability, offering a rare opportunity to see future professionals demonstrate hands-on technical ability and problem-solving in real time.
The Summit attracts a broad and influential audience, including government officials, the RCAF, defence prime contractors, educational and research institutions, innovators, startups and SMEs, Indigenous businesses, and industry associations.
All Summit passes include access to the tradeshow, AME Competition, and Summit Networking Night, while the Aerospace & Defence Industry Site Tours and Evening Gala are available as add-ons. The Summit Networking Night is also open to non-Summit attendees for a registration fee of $25.
