Edmonton's Chinatown comes alive August 21 to 23 for the Dragon Festival, featuring three days of championship lion dance, live entertainment, and cultural celebration at Kinistinâw Park. Highlights include the Canada National Lion Dance Championship and the Pan American Traditional Lion Dance Championship, both bringing elite teams from across North America and beyond. Families can enjoy the free TD Family Fun Zone with inflatables, games, and crafts, while food lovers can explore Taste of Chinatown for dim sum, bubble tea, and other authentic dishes from local restaurants and vendors. The weekend also includes a marketplace of local artisans, a Friday night outdoor movie, and Saturday's CantoPop concert. Admission is free.
