Edmonton Story Slam is a lively storytelling event where everyday people take the stage to share real, personal stories with a live audience. Inspired by the format popularized by organizations like The Moth, the event celebrates authentic voices, spontaneous moments, and the power of human connection.
Each event centers on a theme, and storytellers have a limited amount of time—usually around five minutes—to tell a true story from their own lives. No notes, no props—just a person, a microphone, and a room full of listeners. Some stories are hilarious, others heartfelt or thought-provoking, but all of them reflect the diverse experiences of people in Edmonton.
