Irrational Science moves into Irrational Brewing on 124 Street for an evening panel on affordable housing, presented with Partners for Affordable Housing.
Frontline housing leaders and community advocates will look at what the evidence says about how affordable housing works and who it serves. They’ll cover what these projects mean for a neighbourhood, including safety, property values and how residents fit into the community.
The panel will also cover housing models built for specific groups, such as veterans and families leaving domestic violence. A third thread looks at the economic and policy forces driving the housing crisis and which solutions are holding up on the ground.
Grab a pint and bring your questions. It’s aimed at curious neighbours, urban planning nerds and anyone invested in how Edmonton grows.
