Patrick Lennox brings his new book On Treason to LitFest, in conversation with Taproot Edmonton journalist Karen Unland.
The book investigates the movement behind Alberta’s upcoming referendum on leaving Canada. Lennox argues it isn’t a grassroots response to genuine grievance, but a campaign with ties to the global far right, foreign interference, and online disinformation.
He sets that story against a shifting world order and U.S. ambitions in the hemisphere, framing the vote as a question about Canada’s survival as much as Alberta’s future.
Expect a timely, pointed conversation on one of the most consequential political moments in the province’s history. Presented in partnership with Taproot Edmonton.
