About the Festival

Produced by the Edmonton Jazz Festival Society, JazzFest carries on a jazz tradition that dates back to 1980. Across nine-plus days, it spans the full range of the genre — soulful standards, bold modern sets, headline concerts, jazz-club sessions, artist clinics, happy-hour and spotlight sets, and late-night open jams. It's built to reward both die-hard fans and curious first-timers.

Highlights

  • International headliners at marquee venues like the Winspear Centre

  • Intimate club sets at the legendary Yardbird Suite and Chateau Lacombe's JazzClub

  • Free outdoor stages to catch live music without a ticket

  • Artist clinics & workshops with visiting headliners

  • Late-night open jams and spotlight sets

  • The Edmonton Jazz Orchestra featuring big-band jazz from local players

Tickets

Ticketed concerts are sold through the festival site, with prices set per venue (headline shows at the Winspear started around $35 in 2026, with kids' and family-pack options for select concerts). Plenty of outdoor and lounge programming is free. Popular shows sell out, and door prices run higher than advance — book early.

Getting There

Most venues cluster downtown and are well served by the Capital, Metro, and Valley Line LRT plus ETS buses. With shows spread across the city, transit or rideshare beats hunting for parking at each venue — check each ticket for its specific location.
