10 Things to do in Edmonton this Week - September 14-18, 2026

Here’s your weekday guide to the best things to do in Edmonton this Week

Three Shows. One Stage. One Night | Monday

What started as a YouTube live show for audiences around the world is hitting the club. Funktuate is taking Monday Funkday out of the studio and onto the stage at 9910 for a special 3-year anniversary show, joined by Clay Francis and Matt Meeker. Three live electronic performances built entirely around hardware synths, drum machines and samplers. No DJing. Just music being created in real time. Expect house, techno, acid techno and everything in between. 9910 • $15 tickets • Doors 7 PM • 18+.

Sushi Making Class at Izakaya Tomo | Monday

Learn the art of sushi from the talented chefs at Izakaya TOMO! This fun, hands-on class will take you behind the scenes of Japanese sushi-making — from cooking and seasoning the perfect rice to rolling your own maki and shaping beautiful nigiri.

Garden to Glass Terroir Tasting | Tuesday

This immersive tasting experience explores the connection between place, plants, and flavour through a lineup of non-alcoholic drinks unlike anything guests have tried before. Five thoughtfully crafted rounds showcase seasonal ingredients and the flavours unique to the region, each paired with a locally sourced bite that complements and highlights what's in the glass.

Anne of Green Gables Hits the Stage with Alberta Musical Theatre | Tuesday

Anne of Green Gables like you've never seen her. This laugh-out-loud musical romp drops the red-haired heroine into a fast-paced Avonlea with a fiery East Coast twist. Four actors, dozens of characters, lightning-quick costume changes, and Maritime-inspired music that does not sit still.

Westblock Food Crawl | Wednesday

Five restaurants, one evening, not a single forgettable bite. Graze your way through West Block from 5–8 PM, hitting El Corazón (Edify's 2026 Best Latin American), Leopard's brick-oven pizza, Zula's contemporary Mediterranean, Glenora Fine Wines, and Square 1 Coffee — exclusive tastings and curated sips at every stop.

Irrational Comedy Night | Wednesday

Irrational Brewing hosts a stand-up night on Wednesday, September 16, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, with new host Katie Yoner bringing a fresh format to the series.

A Taste of San Sebastián: Emilio Moro x Nowhere Wine Bar | Wednesday

Nowhere Wine Bar is bringing a little slice of the Basque Country to Edmonton with a special aperitivo evening featuring Emilio Moro wines. Alberto Medina Moro will be on hand to walk guests through the bodega's wines, with each glass paired to a creative pintxo from Chef Theo. Expect a relaxed, mingle-friendly evening built around good wine, good food, and good company — Spanish aperitivo style.

The Mosquers Film Fest | Thursday

The Mosquers Film Festival returns to Edmonton for another year of powerful storytelling from Muslim creatives around the globe. Billed as the world's leading film and arts festival transforming how Muslims are seen, the event showcases short films, performances, and conversation aimed at educating, entertaining, and building bridges between Muslim and non-Muslim audiences.

Hokus Pokus Live | Thursday

Get ready to run amok, amok, amok! The witches are back and confused about what is happening in this new world of 2026! Hokus Pokus Live! is a hilarious, high-camp parody of everyone’s favorite Halloween cult classic, brought to life by drag royalty.

Rocktoberfest | Friday

Climb YEG is going bigger than ever with Rocktoberfest, a multi-day climbing festival open to seasoned climbers and first-timers alike. The Open Competition & Festival runs September 18–19 with dry tooling activities, live rock music, and Oktoberfest-style food and drink.

An Idiot’s Guide to Wine | Friday

A local comedian takes the stage with material written by Merrick Watts — the world's only WSET Level 3 comedian — walking the room through 5 different wine varietals from around the globe. Expect a proper 70-minute stand-up set, not a dry wine lecture: think tasting notes delivered with punchlines instead of pretension.

Edmonton is stacked with activities - so, there’s plenty more where this came from. View the full Edmonton Events calendar to find even more things to do this Week in Edmonton.
