Deadmonton House is Open for the 2026 Season in Edmonton
Spooky season in Edmonton has officially started. Deadmonton Haunted House opens tonight for its 13th year, running until November 7 at the old Edmonton Sun building (9300 47 Street).
Every ticket gets you into all three haunted houses. This year's story is set on the Isle of Deadmonton:
Cursed: It starts at the island's wharf, where a strange butler invites you to dinner at his master's house. That master might be Dr. Töten, a disgraced psychiatrist who vanished years ago.
The Asylum: Up on the cliffs sits an old sanatorium that doesn't appear on any official record. People have heard screams coming from it across the valley.
The Graveyard Rejects: A rogue military crew called the Devils Brigade came to reclaim the "abandoned" island. They found a church and a smoking graveyard with something still living beneath it.
Between haunts, the outdoor compound has themed cocktails, food, fire pits, roaming actors and plenty of photo spots for you to recover between scares. Plan to spend at least two hours on site exploring all three experiences.
Opening weekend - September 25 and 26- features special pricing, starting at $36.99 online. From October 3, regular admission runs $49.99 to $54.99 online. Speed Pass tickets skip the lineup at each house. Tickets are sold in half-hour entry windows, and walk-ups depend on capacity.
Mark your Calendar for Date Night and Lights Out at Deadmonton
Two nights stand out on the calendar. On Date Night - Friday, October 2, your group goes through each house alone, with extra space between you and the groups ahead and behind. On Lights Out - November 6 and 7, the indoor houses go dark and each group gets a single light to find its way through.
A few tips: bring a group of six so you won't be paired with strangers, and wear warm, sensible shoes because they're open rain or snow and heels aren't allowed. There's also a free park-and-ride from 9530 49 Street NW, making parking a breeze.
