Naturecore Expo Returns to Edmonton This October
Naturecore Expo is back on Saturday, October 24, with more than 80 vendors filling the Event Centre at North East River Valley Park. It’s billed as Edmonton’s biggest botanical market, a one-day shop for rare plants, everyday houseplants and the makers who work alongside them.
Plants are only part of it. Local artists and small businesses bring handmade jewellery, paint and art supplies, there are flash tattoos inside, and food trucks are parked outside. Every vendor is an independent seller, since the organizers don’t allow AI-generated art or MLM companies.
The expo started in 2022 as a small meetup for local plant businesses and has tripled in size since. Entry is $5 at the door, kids 14 and under get in free, and parking is free on site.

Naturecore Expo: From Free Meetup to Major Market
Torrin Hammond and Lauren Ponto launched Naturecore in 2022 to connect small plant businesses with local plant lovers. The expo stayed free for its first four years. It has since tripled in size, and the newly introduced $5 entry fee helps cover the increased cost of organizing the event.
