One Night Only Evening of Opportunity Fundraiser Returns to Edmonton, October 29, 2026

On October 29th, Edmonton's favourite weatherman trades the forecast for the emcee mic. If you've watched Josh Classen on the morning news, you know you’re in for a good time.

Jeff Newman will get inside your head

Award-winning mentalist Jeff Newman has performed for audiences across Canada and around the world. Expect predictions made before you've decided anything, thoughts pulled straight out of the audience, and a lot of people turning to each other to ask “how did he do that?!”

If you like to volunteer, this is your night. If you don't, he may pick you anyway.

The raffle where you Buy a Key

Three locked doors sit on stage all evening, each one hiding a grand prize. Buying into the raffle gets you keys, but only three of them will open a door. If yours turns the lock, the prize behind it goes home with you, and the whole room gets to watch.

Bid on the Silent Auction

Bid on gift cards to local restaurants and venues, handmade pieces from local artisans, passes to Edmonton attractions, fitness packages and more. Bidding closes at the end of the night, so scout early.

Evening of Opportunity is the BGCBigs Charitable Foundation's signature event. It funds the long-term work of BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area: mentoring matches, safe Club spaces and wraparound support for young people. Your great night out can open doors to brighter futures for local young people.
