You Can Make Your Own Custom Flow Leggings or Bra at This Beginner-Friendly Sewing Workshop in Edmonton
Ever wanted to make your own workout gear but figured it was way out of your skill range? Fabric + Flow Textile Co., based right here in Edmonton, is running two one-day sewing workshops this month that are built specifically for people who have never touched a sewing machine before. 2026 is the year of building skills - and this is one that we’re here for!
Fabric + Flow Adult Beginner Custom Sewing Workshops
Local instructor Jodie Kachkar walks everyone through the entire process, from cutting the fabric to finishing the final seams, so by the end of the afternoon each person leaves wearing something they made themselves.
Is the sewing class beginner friendly?
Both classes are designed for adults of any experience level, and no previous sewing knowledge is needed. Registration includes the Flow pattern, an Athletic Kit in the colourway of your choice, all the materials and notions required to finish the piece, use of the classroom sewing machines, and a Fabric + Flow Beginner Tool Kit that's yours to keep for future projects. Anyone who already owns a Beginner Tool Kit from a past class gets a bit of a discount for bringing it along.
It's a nice way to spend a Saturday: learning a genuinely useful skill, working with quality stretch fabric, and going home with a finished, custom-fit piece of activewear instead of a stack of instructions to figure out later. Spots are limited, so early registration is recommended.
Classes take place at the Fabric + Flow studio in Edmonton. Full details and registration are available at fabricandflow.com/collections/workshops.
