Based in Edmonton, Dave Herrick has been a part of the city’s music scene for approximately three decades, historically primarily serving as a sideman. He pursued his musical education at Grant MacEwan Community College and then went on to St. Francis Xavier University where he studied jazz trumpet under the amazing Robbie Smith. Dave has performed with a wide variety of groups around Alberta, playing styles including jazz, pop, country salsa, cumbia, mariachi and blues.  He draws inspiration from an array of influential figures such as Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Kenny Wheeler, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, and numerous others.
