Start with close looking and quick sketches in pencil. Add colour with chalk, pencil crayons and markers. Work at both a small and large scale to complete a series of drawing to take home.

Dave has performed with a wide variety of groups around Alberta, playing styles including jazz, pop, country salsa, cumbia, mariachi and blues.  He draws inspiration from an array of influential figures such as Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Kenny Wheeler, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, and numerous others.

In the land of European jazz vocalists, Henk Kraaijeveld occupies a unique place somewhere between the known and the unknown. He is one of those rare male vocalists that seek musical adventure, bringing together compelling music with poetic lyrics and surprising improvisations.

Step into the golden age of jazz at the Château Lacombe Ballroom, where the High Society Jazz Band, led by renowned trumpeter Joel Gray, will transport you straight to the heart of New Orleans.

The Festival Jam Sessions are a great place for everyone – festival musicians, local musicians, festival-goers, volunteers, general public – to end their day. Hosted by some of Edmonton’s rising artists, these sessions have an open invitation for local and visiting artists to share the stage with each other. Many magical moments have take place at these session. You won’t want to miss it.
