  • Telus International Centre 11104 87 Avenue Northwest Edmonton, AB, T6G 2R3 Canada (map)

Free film screening presented by the Kule Centre for Ukrainian and Canadian Folklore at the University of Alberta.

What does it mean to be a Ukrainian newcomer in Alberta?

Horizons of Belonging follows four Ukrainian families over the course of a year in Edmonton and Calgary as they rebuild their lives after escaping Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Through deeply personal stories of displacement, resilience, and identity, the film explores what it means to be a Ukrainian today—and what it truly means to start over in a new country.
