In 1737, he changed creative direction and began composing English-language oratorios, ultimately making his works more accessible to the middle class. He became so successful that after his Messiah (1742), he never composed an Italian opera again.

Every Saturday, there are two tour sessions to take part in. Tour 1 runs from 1:00–1:45 pm with a stop at the fire hearth and Medicine Garden, and Tour 2 begins at 2:15 pm. Register in person at the Beaver Mural. Tours run unless temperatures drop below –15°C.
