NGM presents: Insecure, a documentary film screening on food security in Edmonton

NGM is excited to host Anna Kuelken, a documentary filmmaker on Treaty 6 Territory, for a screening of her film Insecure

Insecure explores the links between food insecurity and wider inequalities in Edmonton, AB. "Food is deeply interconnected with every aspect of our lives, and addressing food insecurity means tackling broader issues of inequality in all forms. While the documentary is set in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, these discussions resonate universally. As Dustin Bajer says, 'Community is a superpower'. I firmly believe we have the power to transform the systems that perpetuate insecurity and vulnerability by coming together." You can view a trailer for the film here.

Doors will open at 6pm and the event will begin at 6:30pm. We will watch a screening of the documentary film Insecure before being joined by some of the film's featured guests for a panel discussion and Q&A.
