Earth’s Refillery Co-op & Café is screening Milked: White Lies in Dairy Land as part of its Thoughtful Tuesday film nights.

The 2021 documentary follows young New Zealand activist Chris Huriwai as he takes on his country’s biggest industry. He questions dairy’s clean, green image and looks at its toll on waterways, climate and health.

The film also looks forward, exploring how New Zealand and other countries could move past dairy before the shift is forced on them. The café closes its kitchen and coffee bar right when the film starts, so come early if you want to grab something.
