NorthwestFEARFest's Retro '80s Slasher Night screens Stagefright, Michele Soavi's 1987 Italian horror classic about a psychopath who escapes an asylum and ends up locked inside a theatre with a cast rehearsing a musical about a killer.
The film marked the directorial debut of Dario Argento protégé Soavi and is regarded by genre fans as one of the most violent slashers of the decade, screening here uncut on the big screen.
It's preceded by the short film The Seeing Eye Dog Who Saw Too Much, a newly restored ode to 1970s Italian giallo cinema.
