The Queen’s Last Night is an improvised, interactive and scripted play that delves into the consequences of one character’s ongoing search for love in a world bent on exploiting them for its own search. A gay senior character’s truly unbelievable stories bring you into past and presents worlds where simply being may cost too much. You may not agree with everything that will be shared but you will recognize yourself in their struggles. This oeuvre contains adult language and speaks to drugs and alcohol, violence, sexual and otherwise.
It is also a fundraiser for the Alberta Arts Visual Centre will feature not only the play but also an art auction from local Francophile and Francophone artists but also a Tableau Vivant – an artist painting an impression of the play while it’s occurring! A beautiful evening of art, comedy and drama!
