6 Haunts and Ghost Tours in Edmonton This October

October in Edmonton runs the full range of scares, from haunted houses with live actors to paranormal investigations where nobody jumps out at you at all. Some nights are built for shrieking through dark corridors with a group of friends; others are about standing quietly in an old building, flashlight in hand, waiting to see whether anything answers back.

Between those two extremes is plenty of middle ground. Ghost walks wind through some of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, leaning as much on local history as on fright. Horror screenings, seasonal escape rooms and costume parties fill out the calendar for anyone who wants the atmosphere without the adrenaline.

Whether you want to be chased, spooked or simply unsettled, the list below covers this year’s options, so you can pick your level of fear and plan your nights accordingly.
