Here’s your guide to the best WEEKDAY things to do this week in Edmonton - add some fun to your Monday to Thursday!

Wet Hot American Summer at Metro Cinema | Monday

The setting is Camp Firewood, the year 1981. It’s the last day before everyone goes back to the real world, but there’s still a summer’s worth of unfinished business to resolve. At the center of the action is camp director Beth, who struggles to keep order while she falls in love with the local astrophysics professor.

Explore the Big Thinking Summit | Tuesday to Thursday

At the Big Thinking Summit: Inflection Point, you’ll take part in roundtable discussions, research presentations, networking opportunities, and keynotes exploring interdisciplinary partnerships, pedagogical innovations, and strategies for navigating disinformation.

Muttart Sound Vibes: Radiance Within | Tuesday

This month’s practice will match the energy of the summer season. We’ll move through sun salutations and strong standing sequences to build strength, stamina, and steady heat in the body. We will then move to the floor to ground the energy, slowing the pace and giving the body time to settle. Longer holds and intentional rest will allow the nervous system to recalibrate so you leave feeling balanced, not depleted.

Curious Brews: Crime Perception and the City | Tuesday

Drawing on comparative data across Canada, we benchmark Edmonton’s violent crime rates against peer cities to answer a simple but consequential question: how does Edmonton really stack up? The findings challenge common assumptions and expose where perception diverges sharply from reality.

Oil City Opry | Tuesday

This high-energy show brings together signature anthems, timeless ballads, and dance‑floor favourites, performed live by players whose roots run deep in Alberta’s music scene — with over 25 Canadian Country Music Awards between them. Experience a feel-good, hit-packed journey through unforgettable country music, honouring the classics you love and putting a spotlight on today’s favourites.

Comedy Night at MKT | Wednesday

Dinner & Comedy - Includes a 3 course plated dinner with your choice of salad or soup, entree, and dessert! Nuova Vocal Arts: Speed Dating TONIGHT | Wednesday

Step into a night of romance, laughter, and unexpected twists with NUOVA’s Festival artists, training from across Canada. On Stage: Into the Woods | Wednesday

Step into a magical world where fairy tales collide. Into the Woods weaves together the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and a Baker and his Wife on a quest to break a mysterious curse. As wishes come true, the characters discover that happily ever after isn’t always what it seems.

Indulge in a Foraged Feast | Thursday

Each course will highlight the beauty of nature’s pantry—showcasing the flavours of wild plants, mushrooms, and other foraged treasures, expertly prepared by the RGE RD kitchen. Paired with an intimate atmosphere and Kevin’s insights into foraging, this is a one-of-a-kind evening you won’t want to miss. This dinner includes drink pairings which will be infused with Kevin’s foraged ingredients.

Alice in the Cities at Metro Cinema | Thursday

German journalist Philip Winter has a case of writer’s block when trying to write an article about the United States. He decides to return to Germany, and while trying to book a flight, encounters a German woman and her nine year old daughter Alice doing the same. The three become friends (almost out of necessity) and while the mother asks Winter to mind Alice temporarily, it quickly becomes apparent that Alice will be his responsibility for longer than he expected.

Wine & Chocolate at Delavoye | Friday

Explore five pairings during this 90-minute event. Throughout the evening, our passionate chocolate maker - Antoine Lavoie - will guide you through our selected chocolate-wine flight whilst giving insights on both products, including how chocolate is made. Enjoy a welcome pour upon arrival, and snack on cheese and charcuterie alongside pairings.

Eco Dance Party at Earth’s Refillery Co-op | Friday

Like mocktails and good music? Earth’s Refillery is throwing a summer dance party in the piazza outside our cooperative. The theme? Eco Hobbies! We encourage you to dress up based on your favorite eco hobby.
