Vivek Shraya and Kai Cheng Thom, two of Canada’s best-loved trans authors, celebrate new novels at LitFest: Shraya’s The Hystericals and Thom’s The Shapeshifter’s Guide to Gym Class.

Both books imagine dystopian and utopian worlds that feel strange and fantastical, but not far removed from the one we’re living in now. They’re stories about questioning power, telling the truth, and finding the courage to heal and change the systems around us.

Expect readings, conversation, and a book signing. The evening centres trans and queer communities, and allies and book lovers are welcome.
