Monday, September 21
Free Rough Cut Comedy Night — Free stand-up in the room beneath the Starlite downtown, with a lineup that rotates weekly and has sent comics on to bigger stages. Nine o'clock, costs nothing, get there early if you want to sit. 8:30–10:30 p.m., River City Revival

Autumn Equinox BBQ at Lil Wolf — Chefs Jarrett of Okie Dokie Smokies and Toni of Burdock & Shoal team up for one night only to mark the changing season with a three-course dinner. 5:00–11:00 p.m., Little Wolf Restaurant
Road to the Royal: BBQ Showcase Dinner — MEAT and Motley Que host a family-style dinner previewing the menu they're taking to The American Royal in Kansas City. 5:00–10:00 p.m.
Cocina Mexicana: A Culinary Journey — Chef Jose Montan runs this class from street corner to Yucatán kitchen — volcanes on crisp corn tortillas with house-made chorizo, a charred poblano salad, and cochinita pibil wrapped in banana leaves. 6:00–9:30 p.m., Get Cooking

Thursday, September 24
Edmonton International Film Festival 2026 — EIFF turns 40 this year — ten days of standout indie and international film kicks off today at Landmark City Centre and the Metro Cinema. Starts 4:00 p.m.
Free Admission at Art Gallery of Alberta — A happy hour built for winding down after a busy week — art, drinks, and better-than-average vibes. 4:00–7:00 p.m., Art Gallery of Alberta
Mid Autumn Walking Tour of Chinatown — A free walking tour led by Lan Chan-Marples, lit by paper lanterns and woven through with Chinatown history and Mid-Autumn Festival traditions. 6:30–9:00 p.m.
Josh Thomas: Jiggle Jiggle — Twenty years into stand-up and touring the world off the back of a Melbourne Comedy Festival premiere. 7:00–9:00 p.m. Tickets
Friday, September 25
AsiaFest YEG — Edmonton's largest Asian night market kicks off a three-day run — street food, vendors, performances, and Mid-Autumn celebrations, 2 to 11 p.m. daily. Starts 2:00 p.m., Currents of Windermere Town Square
Pumpkins After Dark — More than 10,000 hand-carved jack-o'-lanterns begin their run through Borden Park, with food trucks and adult beverages for a glowing fall night out. Starts 6:00 p.m., Borden Park
Cooking Class: Hand Pulled Noodles & Green Onion Cakes — MasterChef Canada's Mai Nguyen teaches biang biang noodles stretched by hand, served with cumin lamb and her own chili oil. 6:00–9:30 p.m.
